The Great Importance of Email Marketing

There is no doubt that emails play an important part in our life. Checking emails is one of daily stuff we need to do. Nowadays, emails have become one of most useful marketing tools and countless of emails are sent from companies to customers and suppliers, from employees to their managers and from one coworker to another. Several reasons can explain why marketers like using email campaign and spend more on email marketing campaign.

First, emails help company reach the customers.

Almost everyone has emails, allowing companies to reach customers. Emails provide companies a way to clearly spread details about their products and service to not only existing customers but also potential customers. For example, I received some advertisement from Nike now and then after I bought one pair of shoes on Nike website.

Second, emails have more information than TV and radio.

The contents of the emails are much clearer than the contents of TV advertisement and Radio. Normally, the TV only has 15 seconds long and customers cannot know all the things about the products and brand. However, the email filled with word and image can help customers know the brand and products.

Third, Emails can result in immediate action.

No matter how far the distance between sender and recipient is, Email is received right away. After company sends the marketing email to customers, customers will receive and can open to read right away. If the customers like the product and service, customers can order directly, increasing company’s sale immediately.

Fourth, email marketing is measurable.

Most email services allow companies to track what happens after sending emails. They can track open rates, unsubscribe rates, delivery rates, bounce rates, click through rates and on. These data gives companies a good understanding of customer and whether its email marketing success or not.  This gives you a better understanding of how your email campaigns are working, which ones to tweak or which ones to get rid of altogether.

Fifth, Email marketing is low cost.

National commercials produced by an advertising agency cost far more, averaging $342,000 for a 30-second spot in 2008. Clearly, email marketing costs less but does a lot of jobs.

Therefore, emails marketing becomes much more important and marketers tend to spend more on email marketing than on any  marketing channel.
